Jaden has toured my 80 acre property twice and after each visit I learned things about the property I had never considered before. With his forestry knowledge, Jaden is able to see things in a property that the average person simply cannot see, and with a passion for hunting and the outdoors he can help create a habitat and management plan that makes sense for each individual property.

After helping to create a plan, I now have a video presentation and outline of improvements ready to be made at my own convenience. I will continue to have Jaden follow up as the improvements occur and reach out to him with questions along the way. My experience

Jaden did an excellent job communicating with us through his development of our Stewardship plan for our 45 acres of woods. He followed through with getting us enrolled in programs to get us money for projects like tree thinning, buckthorn removal, ground cover, habitat improvements, or saving for future improvement projects. I've had several questions for Jaden since he completed our plan which he's always been happy to answer and get us information if he didn't have it.

I'd recommend Jaden and Northland Habitat to anyone with land they'd like to improve or protect for habitat or simply maintain and improve your woods/forest to promote future growth and more wildlife.

The priority for our recreational property is to create ideal wildlife habitat conducive to hunting and facilitating family outdoor activities. We sought a woodland stewardship plan writer that could cater a plan to these goals while advising on the best application of tax advantages for our property. I’m aware that many of the plan writers are highly focused on timber value and management which is not a priority for us. Jaden’s communication was great, he made the process very easy, he worked with the DNR on our behalf, and had a thorough and detailed plan turned around in a week. We really enjoyed our time with him learning about our property and got a plan tailored to our goals. I'd highly recommend people with recreational hunting properties give Jaden a call. 

Jaden was great to work with. I had a May 1st deadline to have my Stewardship plan in place and an application submitted for property tax reclassification. Jaden was quick to respond to my request. He is very responsive and knowledgeable. Jaden found time to walk my property with me, point out opportunities for improvement on my property and educated me on the make up of my woods. Jaden finished up the plan in short order. He also had most of the application completed so all I had to do was review and sign. He made the entire process very easy and did it in less than a month from the initial phone call to getting my stewardship plan completed and application sent it to the county. He also followed up a couple of times since to see if I had any questions. I highly recommend him.

Jaden was a pleasure to work with! Very professional and went the extra mile to help me with all of the tax preparation and paperwork. He was also able to relate to specific habitat improvements I was looking to accomplish for bowhunting. Id give more than 5 stars if I could!

Jaden Bjorklund, Forester & Founder of Northland Habitat, is a DNR-approved writer for the Woodland Stewardship Plans. He provided an extensive overview of our 103-acre property identifying trees, shrubs, plants, and wetland areas/species.

Jaden advised us on what to establish and remove for the future benefit and preservation of our living forest. He was always attentive to our questions and concerns and has a wealth of woodland knowledge.

We are really impressed with Jaden’s work!  He has been prompt and professional starting with our first email inquiry to him.  When we  met with him, he explained our options and discussed our goals thoroughly.  On one of the coldest days of winter he walked our land with us for hours!  He wrote our plan within the timeline he laid out, and helped us to navigate the state’s cost share program to help recoup part of the cost of his services.  We look forward to working with him over the next few years to meet our forestry goals, including trail development and plantings.

Jaden Walked us through our property and helped us identify good habitat, ways to improve our habitat and suggested possible selective logging areas to consider. His is very knowledgeable about plant species and how they are used by wildlife. He helped us register our stewardship plan and get us enrolled in state programs to take advantage of incentives for habitat conservation. I highly recommend Jaden and Northland Habitat!

Jaden was awesome to work with! He was so fast to respond and great at communicating. He was also very flexible with my schedule. He is very knowledgable and I have enjoyed learning from him on how to best manage my property while considering the goals I had in mind. Highly recommend!

Our goals are to improve our property for wildlife, especially deer/turkeys. It was great working with Jaden for he created the Stewardship plan around those objectives. It was fun working with him as well, he is definitely into improving the landscape.
